Simon Sulyma is an expert in cybersecurity and information risk, with 20 years of experience designing, building, and securing complex IT systems at large financial institutions across Canada and the United States. Simon currently leads the IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) function at Manulife’s Global Wealth and Asset Management. He frequently speaks at conferences, trainings, and meetups, organizes and participates in community events, and mentors people entering the cybersecurity field. Simon is very passionate about the recent development in artificial intelligence (AI), especially its intersection with cybersecurity and risk. Simon holds a Master’s degree in Information Security and several industry-leading certifications, including CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CISM, and CRISC.
